Settlement Agreements Hornchurch
A Settlement Agreement, previously known as a Compromise Agreement, is a legally binding contract between an employer and employee – used in circumstances such as bringing an employment to an end or to settle an employment tribunal claim.
You are entitled to independent legal advice on such an agreement – in fact it is a legal requirement that you do.
The person advising you should be qualified in this area to give you such advice – they will advise you on the content of the agreement and the effect and will also carry sufficient indemnity insurance to cover in the event of a claim based on their advice.

Get to know David Berry
David joined Moss & Coleman in 2001, became a Director in 2019 and is Head of Litigation. David has extensive expertise in a range of civil and commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters, including debt recovery, contractual disputes and property matters including rights of way, rights of light and landlord and tenant. He also has experience in employment law, including advising on settlement agreements.
Outside of work David enjoys playing tennis for his local club and snowboarding.
